Treatment options, care standards and clinical insight are rapidly changing in NMDs. To keep up, we as physicians need to get together to exchange insights, agree on best practices or support meaningful initiatives. Apart from medical conferences or expert meetings, exchange is primarily based on email or unspecific and commercial professional platforms such as LinkedIn.
The idea behind One4Connect is simple: To provide a confidential, protected space to foster interprofessional exchange between neuromuscular disease experts. Only physicians can enter and discuss with fellow experts either in an open forum or in a private, encrypted messenger. Also, fellow experts can be contacted and added to your own network.

We are pediatricians from Heidelberg, Germany. We believe that exchanging clinical observations & ideas and sharing those with others, can help improve the quality of care. Especially in rare diseases, evidence is generated by many single observations in clinical care.
To support professional clinical decision-making we designed One4Connect as a self-support platform for the physician NMD community.
So you might be asking, 'why us?' Andreas is an expert in NMDs (especially SMA) and knows the challenges of patient care first hand. Hannes is a technical enthusiast and provides the link to a digital solution. Together we founded a small start-up (Digital Health Companion) a while back to work towards our big vision of digitally supporting the NMD community.
One4Connect is only a small piece to the puzzle, but we are passionate about trying new approaches.
